OVERVIEWtmVideo is tmira's platform for multimedia content dissemination on Internet. The system allows any entity to register videos on the platform, organize them by categories and publish them on Web portals. Our solution allows as well broadcasting live TV, configuring programs schedules and video playlists. Management can be done remotely by means of a simple Web interface.

tmVideo provides an API to access to all its functionality, based on widespread standards. The API allows the administrator of these multimedia portals to upload new contents, organize them by categories or channels, publish them on different quality profiles and delete them without needing any digital video knowledge. Content adaptation to dissemination on Internet is done internally. The API also offers systems for looking-up among the contents catalogue based on tags or other video data, and playlists definition as well. tmVideo can also be set-up to serve live streams on Internet from analogue or digital inputs, webcams, etc. It is also possible to create broadcast channels defining programs schedules combining pre-stored contents and live feeds.
The API's design makes it possible to be easily invoked from any platform, allowing to add multimedia contents to already published Web pages in a short period of time. As a result, is immediate to integrate these services with other applications or Web contents, such as news or forums... Developing new personalized and multimedia Web portals becomes fast and simple.
tmVideo generates contents consumption statistics, available for the administrator through the Web interface, and allowing at the same time to add to the portals video sections based on their popularity. The system offers multiple options to configure the security policy too: it allows to create system users with different levels of management permissions according to the tasks they should be allowed to perform. Likewise, content access can be open or restricted, being possible to allow accesses from authorized portals only. |
