tmIPTV is tmira's platform which allows to enhance an IPTV network with different interactive applications offering diverse information and entertainment services. These applications take advantage of the exceptional interactivity grade offered by bidirectional networks when compared to exclusively diffusive television systems such as satellite or DTT.

Electronic Program Guide

Interactive applications are executed over tmPlayer-IPTV, our tmPlayer version for the IPTV environment which makes possible the migration of all tmServices catalogue developed for DTT, together with other new applications designed to access multimedia services such as video on demand (VoD) and personalized TV.

The system allows as well the configuration of ESG (Electronic Service Guide) present on the network, letting the IPTV terminals know the available channels and the configuration parameters needed to receive them, following the ETSI-TS 102034 v. 1.2.1 standard. This information is completed with the emission of the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) which describes the contents present each moment on the channels. Access to these data can be done following the basic interface provided by the middleware or by means of a multimedia interactive application customized to the client's image.

The services provider has simple Web management tools to control contents and applications offered over his network: this platform makes it possible to register and unregister applications, make updates and edit contents. An intuitive scheduling system allows also to plan the applications available each moment on each IPTV channel.

The system is designed for operating in closed environments, such as hotels, hospitals, universities... providing their users with advanced and personalized services directly on the television.
