From the information contained in the ESG (Electronic Service Guide), mobile devices are able to show to users the services they have access (television channels, interactive applications, multimedia contents,…) and the way to access it.

tmESG is the system developed by tmira for the generation of ESG according to the standards DVB-IPDC and OMA BCAST. The system provides multiple IP flows to be encapsulated and remultiplexed with the services in order to broadcast for mobile terminals. The system allows managing several providers, mono or multiple session, CBMS or OMA-BCAST.

The system is able to extract SDPs (Session Description Protocol, IETF RFC 2327) from SAP session (Session Announcement Protocol, IETF RFC 2974) and introduce them automatically in ESG

tmESG implements the services of Webcasting and Datacasting of contents that are displayed in mobile devices. These contents can be generated automatically from Web pages offering to mobile TV viewers services as news, weather information, sports, ads, without any additional effort.

The system allows to mobile TV viewers to interact using SMS messages, therefore they can participate in quizzes, voting, TV chats, ...
