OVERVIEW

tmBroadcast is the definitive management and broadcast system of EPG (Electronic Program Guide) and interactive applications for DVB-T/C/S networks. tmBroadcast produces DVB-SI EIT signalling according to the standard ETS 300 468 and generates the carousels for interactive applications according the standard DSMCC. tmBroadcast includes all the functionality of tmEPG system for management and broadcasting EPG data.

Network configuration

Applications management

tmBroadcast server can work for any complex network configuration, it can broadcast for many multiplexers and several services per multiplexer. Each TV channel can manage safely its EPG data and interactive applications through a functional Web interface.

tmBroadcast system is mounted on a high reliability and availability server equipped with the required DVB-ASI and IP output cards. Server administration is done through a secure Web access (HTTPS).

tmBroadcast generates Service Information tables DVB PSI/SI through system output. The generated tables are: PAT, PMT, NIT, NIT other, SDT, SDT other, TDT, TOT, AIT, EIT P/F, EIT P/F other, EIT S, EIT S other. Interactive applications are encoded according to the standard DSMCC and are inserted into system output.

tmBroadcast provides and interface for management of interactive applications for each channel and provider: add/delete/modify, update, edit contents and configure return channel. New applications are uploaded to the server with a zip and later on they can be scheduled and broadcasted. It also implements OTA DVB SSU for software upgrades through over-the-air download.

The system includes a transport stream analyzer and monitoring module for: ETSI EN 300 468 (Service Information), ISO/IEC 13818-1:2008 (Program Service Information) and ETSI TS 102 812 (Tables and descriptors for MHP applications).
